8 Litre Bentley Restoration YG337 with a deadline. Having collected the 8 Litre Bentley chassis from the paint shop it’s time to start the final assembly for its maiden outing at the end of September. I’m racing this 8 Litre in Portugal at the famous Algarve Circuit of Portimão on 3rd October for 24 hours in a Benjafield’s event. Nothing like having a target to go for!
The Chassis is now a rolling chassis. The engine has been set in the chassis and the services routed in rear of chassis. M
Bentley 8 Litre Restoration Feb 2024
As one of my personal projects and with only a small window of time to complete this Classic Bentley restoration it’s immediately off to the coach builders for a completely new coat.

And the Bentley returned to the workshop in late June after having its new coat fitted. Very happy with the coachworks from a very skilled company and they just got on with the job with no messing around. It’s now down to me to finish it!!

Portimão road trip with this beaut of an 8 litre Bentley. Seven weeks ago I collected the bare painted chassis from the paint shop and Tuesday morning I was disembarking the ferry at Santander to start a road trip down to Portimão. Arrived late this evening at the Algarve Race resort ready to race for the Benjafields 24 hours race this weekend. I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has been involved with this project. My staff and friends who have been totally committed and dedicated to this project and all the sub contractors all who have had to work with very tight time restraints. Fantastic result and great to drive!
