Lagonda LG45 - Rally preparation
This classic Lagonda recently returned from a very successful rally in the Middle East. It won 1st in class & 2nd overall in the Badawi Trail. That has left us only a very small window for preparation for the next event, The Peking to Paris. This vehicle will be shipping in early February 2024. In the last two weeks the Lagonda has had very extensive preparation including new gears, new springs, the lot!
Now fully prepared and ready to embark on the 8th Peking to Paris Rally in May 2024.
1935 Lagonda M45R
This beautiful vehicle came into us for preparation for the 2023 Mille Migila. The two black and white pictures show the Lagonda ready for the off at the 1935 Monte Carlo Rally with Lieutenant Owen Cathcart -Jones. The colour pictures show 88 Years on and still going strong! Our preparation included a full service and fitting a new alternator in place of the old dynamo.
Low Chassis Lagonda T1 Tourer Restoration - PL 189
This beautiful low chassis Lagonda has been fully restored and serviced after being off the road for more than 50 years. The 3 litre Bentley’s have been uprated to 4 1/2 litre forever. Curious why it really never caught on with Lagonda’s, 2 litre to 4 1/2? I guess to do a proper job its not an easy conversion. The rewards from the conversion are spectacular though, all the great driving characteristics are retained with the benefit of more power, a perfect combination!
And here’s the Lagonda in June 2024 at a recent Children’s Charity track day at Goodwood. The sun shone all day, perfect weather and a great day. There was a lot of support for the charity event. The Lagonda was the only Pre War car on the track surrounded by lots of modern stuff!! Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, Astons & Jaguars to name a few. The Lagonda put up a good show considering it was 90 plus years older! A great day with lots of nice cars and very enthusiastic drivers. You can see more of this restoration here.
